Using the Rotman Interactive Trader at Stern

The RIT site, located at http://rit.rotman.utoronto.ca/, contains software, users guides and other educational material. Also see the class overheads available here.

To use RIT, you must install it and connect to the market.

Installation

• RIT runs under Microsoft Windows. If you don't have a windows laptop, you can borrow one at the IT help center (UC-120).
• Go to http://rit.rotman.utoronto.ca/software.asp and download the Rotman Interactive Trader Client. The installation procedure should start automatically. Installation instructions

Connecting to the market

• If you are using RIT in connection with a class, then:
  • In the server section of the login screen, enter jhasbrou.stern.nyu.edu.
  • For Trader ID and password, enter the username and password that you were emailed.
  • Sometimes practice sessions are running that don't require a specific username and password. In this case, you can make up a username and password on the fly.
• If you aren't using RIT for class, you can still run the demo that posted to the Rotman website.
